PROJECT DESCRIPTION

San Francisco’s Mission Bay Redevelopment Area will house the police administrative headquarters, a relocated district police station, a new district fire station, and fleet vehicle parking. The project includes the rehabilitation of a 1920s masonry fire station for community use. The project includes Police headquarters of about 128,000SF, a two-story Police Station of 31,000 SF, a two-story Fire Station of about 17,000 SF entry from Mission Rock Street, Fleet Parking of about 109,000 SF with old fire station #30 rehabilitation of about 6,600 SF. The building is approximately 290,000 square feet and provides functional resiliency for up to 96 hours after a major disaster or earthquake. The facility creates a seismically safe and LEED gold-certified sustainable green building that will be fully operational after a major earthquake. The Public Safety Building is built to resist security threats and operate continuously in the event of loss of power and water.
