PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project will improve the seismic performance of fire stations by removal of the reinforced concrete hose tower extensions above their roof lines, roofing and roof patching, insulation, overflow drains, interior painting, and radio antenna base replacements, guardrails, skylights, signage, and painting. SFFD prioritized stations to improve SFFD safety during an earthquake and better their work and site conditions. These improvements are being installed while keeping each fire station operational and complying with strict interim substantial completion dates of 210 calendar days for Fire Stations 11, 12, and 21 and 270 calendar days for Fire Stations 6 and 38 to further minimize the impact on these critical and operational SFFD stations.
